We headed out to The Vineyards Campground & Cabins resort as our first trip in our new coach. This was our first time at this resort as well. It was a chilly and windy weekend, but nice to get away. The resort is on Grapevine Lake in Grapevine, TX. There is a marina just off the shores of the resort with a few coves to get the kayaks in for scenery and relaxation.
The park has a few loops with mainly back-ins, but on the backside, there is a strip that has pull throughs. This strips has water on both sides so it presents with some great views. They have a few different priced sites, and as the name states, they have some cabins you can rent as well.
While it isn’t the best trail, they do have a walking trail on the ground to get some walking in. Just walking around the campground will get you some steps in as well. They have a place where you can rent some kayaks if you don’t bring in your own. There is a little section for the kids as well, and of course a boat launch if you happen to bring a boat with you.
The resort is just outside of downtown Grapevine where they have the good old small town strips of shops. We enjoyed getting out and spending some time in town as well. If you venture out just a bit further, you find yourself back into the city life where you can find most common box stores you are accustomed to.
